Riverside Glamping in the Outback
Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting silently in front of a slowly burning campfire warming your feet as you gaze up at a blanket of a billion twinkling stars. Absolute silence except the crackle of the fire and the distant hoot of an owl. Complete peace and serenity… That’s the dream of Outback Almonds.

A working almond farm on the banks of the Darling River in far west NSW, we have a 9000 tree crop with a selection of natural, blanched, slivered, hot and spicy and chocolate coated almonds available to purchase via our online shop. Farm tours are available, keeping in mind that harvest takes place from January to April, and the magical almond blossom occurs during August.
Come and stay the night in one of our three Canvas Bell Tents by ‘Glamping’, or perhaps ‘The Cottage’ is more your thing! If you’re just passing by, or looking for something a little different, book for a Long Lunch or Dinner under the stars. Your hosts Tom & Tegan are happy to work with you to make your Outback Almonds experience personalised.

We are also enroute the Port (Pooncarie), via an unsealed dry weather access road where you can continue just a little further and discover the Menindee Lakes. Or simply stay put and kayak, fish, or relax with a good book. Picturesque nature views and magnificent night skies, makes Outback Almonds the perfect place for star gazing. Outback Almonds will allow you to unplug and recharge.
Please note, Outback Almonds is a working almond farm, and will continue to operate as such during your stay, and we invite you to join us on a Farm tour ($30pp includes tasting and smoko).

What others say …
Outback Almonds was a beautiful little surprise. A great Glamping set up on the River. Teagan organised a beautiful dinner on the river which was a highlight. Has all the facilities you need for a Glamping experience. I would highly recommend.”
To be Glamping on the bank of the Darling River at Outback Almonds. Bell tent spotless, warm and inviting, all amenities within walking distance and easy to access and use. Directions easy to follow, to find location.”
Outback Almonds was the perfect setting for a short break away from the busy world. Time stood still and the beautiful environment shone day and night. The tents and the attention to detail in them was more than what I expected. It was so comfortable and a very beautiful. It rained one of the nights during my stay but the tents were a warm and dry haven. All of the other facilities made staying off grid a breeze. The delivery of the breakfast basket was timely and also very generous in size. Being able to walk around the farm and see the almonds growing was interesting. Would visit again next time I’m in the area.”
