Welcome to Moble Homestead, the home of fourth and fifth generation pastoralists, Brian, Kylie & Meg Rutledge.
A shared interest in great seasonal food and good company has been the inspiration to open our doors to create the Moble Homestead experience.

The Rutledge family are proud wool producers and keen environmentalists, passionate about their country and sustainability. Brian has been a pilot for many years and the airstrip remains ready for any fly-in visitors.

Accommodation
The Straw Bale Hut
It is a room like no other with round corners, crooked walls and a great king size bed.
The Garden Room
The Garden Room gives onto the deck, the perfect place for a morning coffee.
Bill’s Hut
Bill’s Hut belies its tumultuous years of Rutledge education and is a place of calm reflection.
The Cottage
The Cottage literally sits on the waterhole with a private garden, fabulous party deck and stunning water views.
Shearer’s Quarters
The Quarters provide seven air-conditioned twin -share rooms with ensuites.

- Book one of our new Moble trekking or walking experiences, the Homestead Trekker or Intrepid Camper, and truly experience the best of Rutledge hospitality and Moble’s beautiful landscapes’
- Join us for sundowners on the summit of the Grey Range to watch the colours change across the country as the sun sets.
- Walk the creeks systems and watch the bird and animal life in the wild. Birders will be pleased to know we have a Moble Bird List available on our website.
- Relax in the garden and read a book, or go for a swim in the creek, perhaps even try the flying fox if you are game.
- Visit the Eromanga Natural History Museum and Eagle Gallery, Quilpie.
- Enjoy a cold beer at the Toompine Pub, the pub with no town.
